My instructors love me, I wanna smack the shit out of most of my classmates and I'm bored to tears.
Speech is, terrifyingly enough, my coolest class. My instructor seems to think I'm a good speaker, most of my classmates actually pay attention and participate in class and have halfway intelligent things to say.
Electronic Music gives me migraines. The lecture portion of the class is ok and the sweet Russian lady who teaches us is very patient. But when it comes time to practice, I'm at a loss. I don't know what the hell to play. I'm no musician. Not to mention the fact that I can't get the software (Apple Logic) to do what I want it to do. And everytime I try to get the instructors attention, she's helping somebody else. So I end up getting frustrated and I leave class early so as not to go postal. Oh, and did I mention the majority of my classmates simply don't give a flying fuck?
Audio II. Dull. Unbelieveably fucking dull. The instuctor simply doesn't know how to make the material interesting. My speech instructor would have a field day with him. And when he's not boring us, he's showing videos. And more than likely, I'm going to get thrown into the deep end of the pool on some project and have to depend on my partner(s) to keep from drowning.
On the job front, two very good leads. UPS and a locksmith company in Chamblee. Both are willing to work around my schedule. Both are MARTA accessible. I'll take either at this point.
I should have a landline by tomorrow night. Unfortunately, I won't be able to call long distance. I really WOULD like to talk to mom sometime soon.
DSL should be in place by weeks end, meaning I won't have to live with the cable I shouldn;t have. Turns out that, for some odd reason, Comcast seems to think my roomie cancelled the disconnection. Well, I can't call em on it till I get my phone back, so....
Food supplies running dangerously low. Hopefully this will be corrected by Saturday, but it depends.
Further updates will be posted as warranted.
