Justice League Unlimited : Season 3 reviews

Dead Reckoning

Wonder Woman

Lex Luthor
Gorilla Grodd
Black Manta (I refuse to call him Devil Ray)
Atomic Skull

The Legion of Doom story arc continues apace. Grodd reveals his master plan, and we get some good quality violence. I swear, though. On the opening fight sequence, I could SO hear the Mortal Kombat theme playing.
Black Manta has a wonderfully dry sense of humor, might I add.

Deadman was handled expertly, and any scene with him in it, whether he possessed someone or not, was good.
Beyond the Deadman subplot and the name-that-superviallian shots, the ep didn't hold my attention that much, though.

The ending...well, lets just say it had to happen eventually.

Patriot Act

Green Arrow
Shining Knight
Crimson Avenger
Mr. Terrific

General Wade Eiling

Spy Smasher
Amanda Waller
The Newsboy Legion

This is the one you've been waiting for, Jason. The Leagues "second-stringers" in an all-out, knockdown, drag out with a villain that gave the whole league headaches in the comic.

The references to Captain Nazi and the inclusion of the Newsboy Legion made the fanboy in me squeal, Vigilante and Shining Knight were the standouts of the ep, Ollie and Roy acted JUST like old partners, and Stargirl and S.T.R.I.P.E. were consistent with the characters we saw earlier. The only bad thing I could say about the ep was that they should have given Crimson Avenger more characterization and the resolution to the battle felt slightly forced.

Still, this is the best episode this season and ranks up there with Question Authority, The Doomsday Sanction and Epilogue, in my book. Long may the Seven Soldiers of Victory ride!
