Why didn't I call and go out with somebody? Good question. Let me answer that WITH a question. Do I have your number?
Other than Bruce, John and Marques, I have the numbers of about 5 or 6 people in Atlanta. Most of them, I can't get through to at any given time. Most of my interaction is done through AIM, Yahoo Messenger or email and well... Shoulda called J.P.
Yesterday, I went to do something I haven't done since I moved here: get an HIV test. When I lived in Indianapolis, I would get tested every 4 months. Even when I was dating Jason, I got tested every 4 months. There was a clinic at the IU medical center in downtown Indianapolis where you could pay 5 bucks and they would test you for HIV and every other STD in the book. You would wait for about 5 - 10 minutes before a doctor would see you and you'd get your results back for the HIV test in a week. Everything else, you'd get your results back in less than an hour. I can't seem to find anywhere like that here.
After doing a bit of checking, I found the East Dekalb Medical Center. Wait time for walk-ins there: minimum of 2 hours. Cost: $130. I don't have medical coverage, folks. And I probably won't until I can score a permanent position here. So can anybody help me out here?
On a more positive note, we've been approved for the new apartment with one months rent as deposit. This ultimately breaks down to about $500 among me, John and Bruce. This covers first months rent, the deposit, and last months rent at our current apartment. We have to be moved in by Nov 15. So I'm also recruiting help moving. :) Also, any boxes anybody has and doesn't need would be appreciated.
Oh, yeah! I'm also applying for a permanent position with Coke in about 2 weeks! Wish me luck!
That's it for this life update!
