10 Things I've Had to Relearn

1) Neither a borrower nor a lender be, for loan oft loses both itself and friend; And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.

2) A secret known to two is no longer a secret.

3) A person who trusts no one can't be trusted.

4) The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man.

5) People forget how fast you did a job - but they remember how well you did it.

6) Never forget what a man says to you when he is angry.

7) Just because you love someone doesn’t mean you have to be involved with them. Love is not a bandage to cover wounds.

8) You have to recognize when the right place and the right time fuse and take advantage of that opportunity. There are plenty of opportunities out there. You can't sit back and wait.

9) Do the one thing you think you cannot do. Fail at it. Try again. Do better the second time. The only people who never tumble are those who never mount the high wire. This is your moment. Own it.

10) There are admirable potentialities in every human being. Believe in your strength and your youth. Learn to repeat endlessly to yourself, 'It all depends on me.'
